Job description

AIVHY is looking to expand its team of experts in Industrial digitalization. Your task will be to help companies, typically manufacturers and companies relying on heavy machinery, to define their future digitalization vision, and realize the implementation. The typical first step is to perform AIVHY’s KickStarter, as detailed on the website, together with the team. As a result of the KickStarter, you will produce a report with your findings, and a roadmap describing achievable steps that the client may take to realize their future vision and goals. These steps will be based on the principles of Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT. From that moment onwards, you will work with your team and the client to implement the roadmap, step by step, according to the customer’s needs. Each step will involve a solution architecture design, development, deployment, testing and acceptance.

Tasks

  • Providing consultancy and advice to clients.
  • Perform AIVHY’s KickStarter on-site at the clients.
  • Lead and manage the design and implementation of Digitalization, Industrial IoT architectures and solutions for clients
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
  • Communicate progress and results to stakeholders at all organizational levels and resolve any arising problems.
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in industrial digitalization, and apply this knowledge during the tasks.
  • Work in Malta and abroad.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide training in Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT.
  • Prepare proposals with AIVHY’s sales department.

  • Bachelor+ or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 6 years or more experience in a relevant position.
  • Relevant certifications in Industrial Automation.

Knowledge of relevant concepts

  • Industry 4.0
  • Industrial IoT
  • MQTT
  • Operational Technology
  • Industrial communication protocols, such as OPC UA, ModBus, PROFIFBUS, PROFINET, CAN-bus, …
  • Cyber Security, ideally experience with the IEC 62443 or ISO 27001 standards.
  • IT systems, such as ERP, MES, WMS
  • Industrial Control Systems, such as PLC & DCS systems, SCADA systems, Drive systems (VFDs)
